Questions
Everything couples ask, answered plainly.
The day itself, our films, our photography and how booking works. Short answers, honestly given.

The day
What makes Creo Bella different?
Two things. The standard: multi-camera films, dedicated audio, careful editing and retouching, and true-to-life colour, with no corners cut on any package.
And the team: a filmmaker and a photographer who have worked together for years, one of whom taught the other. Your film and photographs are made as one piece of work, not by two strangers sharing a schedule.
Who will be at our wedding?
Film on its own is made by Ben. Photography is made by Sean. Book both and the two of us work your day together.
Whoever is with you, the aim is the same: that you feel looked after, at ease and free to be present. Meet Ben and Sean.
We’re awkward in front of a camera. Will it show?
Most couples feel that way at first. We guide you gently through the day, with a quiet word when it helps and space when it doesn’t, until you’re comfortable enough to sink into it and let everything else fall away.
Will our wedding feel like a production?
No. The best films and photographs come from letting the day unfold.
We plan properly beforehand so that on the day you can simply be with each other. We may guide you toward better light or a better angle, but we are never there to turn your wedding into a set.
How do you make it feel like us?
Your wedding already says who you are: the place, the people, the vows, the weather, the pace. Our job is to read that properly.
A misty, intimate day should never be forced into a bright, generic look. Music, pacing and colour are chosen to fit your day, not a formula.
What if the weather turns?
We adapt. Rain, wind, heat and cloud are part of the day, and they often make the most beautiful images.
If getting the shot means getting wet, that is part of the job. The conditions change. The standard doesn’t.
Films
What if we’re not sure we need a film?
You don’t need one. But the couples who weren’t sure tell us the same thing afterwards: they are so glad they did.
Photographs hold how your wedding looked. A film brings back how it sounded and moved: your vows, the speeches, the people you love laughing around you.
What is the highlight film?
The main film of your day: the strongest moments, vows, speeches, music and atmosphere, shaped into one story.
It is not a montage of nice shots. It is built to bring back the anticipation, the big moments, the quiet details and the feeling of being there. Its length depends on your package and on what the story needs.
How do you capture vows and speeches?
With several recorders in several places. For a typical ceremony we record the celebrant, the groom and the venue’s sound system, plus musicians or a DJ where needed.
The recorders use 32-bit float audio, which is very hard to ruin, and they record internally to avoid wireless interference. Your vows never depend on one device.
What are the ceremony and speeches films?
Full-length films of those parts of the day, shot from several angles with dedicated audio and edited so the view changes naturally.
These are the films that grow in value: the words, the voices and the reactions, kept in full. Have tissues nearby.
What is the cinematic documentary?
A long-form film of your whole day, usually 60 to 90 minutes in two parts.
It is not raw footage. Every scene is edited, graded and mixed with the same care as the highlight film. It is for couples who want to relive the day, not just the highlights.
Can we add films after the wedding?
Yes. Extra films can be ordered up to six months after the wedding, as long as the footage exists.
Secure the coverage first. Decide the rest later.
Photography
What do we receive with photography?
Up to 500, 800 or 1,000 photographs, depending on the hours you book, and a 20-photograph sneak peek within 72 hours. See Sean’s photographs.
Your photographs are professionally edited and retouched, then delivered within 4 to 6 weeks in a private online gallery, as high-resolution, print-ready files. Drone photography and a pre-wedding consultation are included.
How does photography work on the day?
Much like our films: mostly documentary, with gentle guidance when it helps. Sean watches for real moments as they happen.
For portraits he guides you toward good light and natural movement, not stiff poses. When film and photography are booked together, we plan the day as one team, so you are never pulled in two directions.
Will you take family and group photographs?
Yes. Before the wedding we ask for a short list of the groupings that matter most to you, so that part of the day runs quickly and calmly and you can get back to your guests.
How are our photographs edited?
Every photograph we deliver is professionally edited and retouched, in true-to-life colour, because it best represents a day this important.
Once your day is captured we can adapt creatively to what you need. If there is a look you love, tell us before the wedding.
Can we print our photographs?
Yes. They are delivered as high-resolution, print-ready files, ready for prints, frames or an album.
Booking
How much does a wedding film or photography cost?
Wedding films start at $3,600 for five hours, $4,400 for eight and $5,750 for ten. Wedding photography starts at $2,420 for five hours, $3,400 for eight and $4,750 for ten.
Film and photography are priced separately, so you can book one or both. Every package is made to the same standard; the hours decide how much of your day is kept and which films are included. See every package.
Can we book film and photography together?
Yes, and it is where we shine: two sets of eyes on every moment, one plan, no competing for the shot, and no gap between the story your photographs tell and the one your film remembers.
Film and photography each have their own pricing, so you can see exactly what each costs.
Can we book just film, or just photography?
Yes. Each is offered on its own, with its own pricing.
How many hours do we need?
It depends on the shape of your day: where you are getting ready, travel between locations, and how much of the reception you want kept. Most weddings with preparations, ceremony, portraits and reception need eight to ten hours.
Send us your rough timeline and we will tell you honestly what you need.
How far do you travel?
Anywhere within about two hours of Brisbane is included. Further afield, travel and accommodation may apply.
Interstate and destination weddings are welcome. They just need a little more planning.
How long does delivery take?
Photographs arrive in 4 to 6 weeks and films in 8 to 10. In peak season this can stretch a little, because nothing is rushed at the expense of quality.
A sneak peek arrives within 72 hours: 20 photographs, or 30 seconds of film. Express delivery for films may be available, depending on the season.
How do we book?
Send us your date and venue. We will confirm availability within 48 hours, then talk through your day on a relaxed video call.
A signed contract and a 30% deposit secure the date. We take one wedding a day and up to 35 a year, and popular dates can book out more than a year ahead.
